What we build

Post & rail

The classic paddock and boundary fence, in two, three or four rail sawn or cleft timber. Driven posts where ground allows, concreted where it doesn't.

Stock & agricultural

Stock netting, high-tensile line wire and barbed top strands for sheep, cattle and horses. Kilometre runs priced by the metre, built fast with our post knocker.

Field gates & entrances

Five-bar gates in timber or galvanised steel, hung properly on the right furniture, plus estate entrance gates and automated gate groundwork.

Closeboard & garden

Featherboard on arris rails for privacy and wind resistance, panel fencing, picket and trellis, with UC4-treated timber as standard.

Deer & exclusion

1.8m+ deer fencing for woodland, orchards and BNG planting, rabbit netting with buried skirts, and temporary exclusion around establishing habitat.

Estate & parkland

Cleft chestnut, iron estate railing repairs coordination, ha-ha edge protection and the discreet fencing that suits listed settings.

Conservation grazing

The specialist infrastructure behind our heathland work: stock fencing on SSSIs, water and handling points, self-closing bridleway gates.

Purbeck boundaries

Where fencing meets walling country: we coordinate dry stone repairs alongside new fencing so the whole boundary reads right.

Why a tree company builds better fences

Most fencing jobs in this county start with something in the way: the collapsed leylandii on the old line, the hedge that ate the boundary, the stumps every two metres. A fencing-only firm quotes around those problems; we quote through them: clearance, stump grinding and the new fence in one visit, one invoice.

And because we fence for our own conservation contracts on the Purbeck heaths, our kit and habits are built for hard ground and long runs: tracked post knockers, low-ground-pressure access, and specifications that hold stock on a windswept SSSI. which makes a garden boundary feel easy.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply the materials?
Yes. Supply and fit is our standard model, with UC4 pressure-treated timber and galvanised fixings. We're happy to fit customer-supplied gates or materials too.
How is agricultural fencing priced?
By the metre, based on specification and ground conditions, after a free walk of the line. Long runs price keenly, because the machinery does the hard work.
Can you remove the old fence and hedge line first?
That's the advantage of a tree-and-fencing contractor: clearance, stump grinding along the line and the new fence are one visit and one price.
Do you repair storm-damaged fencing?
Yes, and where a tree brought the fence down, one team deals with both, and we can document it for your insurance claim.
What guarantee do you offer?
Workmanship guaranteed, and we build to outlast it: correct post depths, the right spec for the exposure, and materials chosen for the ground rather than the cheapest gauge.
