Terms & Conditions of Hire

These terms apply to all machine-only (non-operated) plant hire from Heartwood Tree Management Ltd, including the CMC S22HD spider lift.

1. Booking & payment

• Hire is confirmed on receipt of payment of the hire charge and security deposit.
• The security deposit is fully refundable on return of the machine in the condition it left us, subject to inspection.
• Delivery and collection are charged separately based on location.

2. Operator requirements

• The CMC S22HD may only be operated by persons holding a current IPAF licence (category 1b).
• Proof of certification must be provided before or at handover.
• A familiarisation briefing is given at handover and must be attended by all operators.

3. Hirer's responsibilities

• The hirer is responsible for the machine from handover until collection or return, including security and weather protection.
• The machine must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's manual and the pre-start checks completed daily.
• Any damage, fault or incident must be reported to us immediately on 01929 480 995.

4. Insurance

• The hirer must hold hired-in plant insurance covering the machine's replacement value, or opt into our damage waiver where offered.
• The machine must not be used for lifting operations outside its safe working parameters.

5. Cancellation

• Cancellations more than 48 hours before delivery: full refund.
• Within 48 hours: one day's hire may be charged.
