Working on a protected tree without consent is a criminal offence with unlimited fines. We check every tree we quote against the local authority's TPO and conservation area records, and where consent is needed we specify the works, submit the application, and carry out exactly what's approved.

Timescales
TPO applications take up to 8 weeks; conservation area notifications 6 weeks. We factor this into project planning and will flag when emergency exemptions genuinely apply, and when they don't.
