Kiln dried mixed hardwood logs delivered in builders bags (0.5m3) processed from our tree surgery operations, which are generally carried out in Purbeck. Logs tend to be 200mm - 250mm but can vary slightly due to nature of tree surgery sectional felling. Moisture content ranges from 10% - 20%.
At Heartwood, we take pride in providing the best firewood for our customers. Our logs are sourced from locally, primarily from our tree surgery operations in Purbeck Dorset. We then use the latest biomass boiler technology to dry our logs to less than 20% moisture content in our kiln. The result? Kiln dried logs that burn hotter than traditionally seasoned firewood and are easier to light.

Our firewood is sourced locally and tends to be either waste products from tree surgery operations or timber taken from thinning sustainable woodland. We are very selective in the wood that we supply and tend to stick to five hardwood species, Ash, Oak, Sycamore, Beech and Birch.
